Canonical, through Kate Stewart, announced a few hours ago that the upcoming Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) operating system is now in Feature Freeze state.

"Hello Ubuntu Developers, 2100 UTC has now passed and we are in Feature Freeze for Precise. Many thank yous to those developers who got their tested work in on time!"

"The focus from here until release is on fixing bugs and polishing. Our next upcoming milestone release is Beta 1 on March 1st." - said Kate Stewart in the email.

Also in the announcement, Kate Stewart said that Canonical decided to make the Armhf architecture default for the Ubuntu 12.04 ARM ISO images. Armel builds will still exist but not as the default supported architecture.
