Are you ready to translate the Precise Pangolin?!!

Canonical, trough David Planella, proudly announced a couple of days ago, December 13th, that the upcoming Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) operating system is now open for translation.

Those of you who want to get involved in the translation process of Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) should know the following:

Translation schedule: According to the Ubuntu 12.04 LTS release schedule, it is possible that translatable messages to be changed until the User Interface Freeze (around February 23rd, 2012); Language packs: The language packs that contain the actual translations must be released twice per week (with the exception of the freeze periods), allowing translators and users to quickly test and see the results of translations; Test and report bugs: To report translation issues, testers should check with the translation team for the respective language first. Ubuntu 12.04 (Precise Pangolin) will be a Long Term Support (LTS) release, therefore Canonical wants you to provide the best translations for the best translated operating system around.

Canonical also hopes that new translation will be available and Ubuntu will be translated in more than 40 languages!
