Here are the default fifteen wallpapers for Ubuntu 12.04 LTS

Last month we've presented the winners of the Ubuntu 12.04 LTS wallpaper contest, which took place on Flickr. Today, April 5th, we are proud to announce that Canonical packed some of those wallpapers and must see new ones in the default Ubuntu wallpapers package for the Precise Pangolin.

As usual, there are fourteen new wallpapers in total, for the upcoming Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) operating system, due for release on April 26th, 2012.

In order of appearance, the names of the default wallpapers in the Ubuntu 12.04 LTS are: Delicate Petals by lefthandgergo, Early Blossom by Dh0r, Flocking by noombox, Floorboards by Dawid Huczyński, Golden Bloom by Twinmama, London Eye From Beneath by Fernando García, Morning Dew by Lars_Clausen, Murales by Jan Bencini, Precise Pangolin by Vlad Gerasimov, Speaker Weave by Phil Jackson, The Forbidden City by Daniel Mathis, Tie My Boat by Ray García, Twilight Frost by Phil Jackson, and Winter Morning by Shannon Lucas.

The default Ubuntu wallpaper has received some small modification and it is now more orangish. Here's how it looks like:

On April 26th, Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) will become the 16th release of the popular Ubuntu Linux distribution.

Ubuntu 12.04 will be an LTS (Long Term Support) release (supported for 5 years) and it will incorporate apps like Mozilla Firefox 12, Mozilla Thunderbird 12, LibreOffice 3.5, Rhythmbox, Transmission 2.50, Shotwell 0.12.1, and much more.

Ubuntu 12.04 LTS will have an improved Unity interface built on top of the GNOME 3.4 desktop environment, and it will be powered by Linux kernel 3.2.
