Ubuntu 12.04 LTS Beta 1 is ready for download and testing!

Canonical announced earlier today, March 1st, the first Beta release of the upcoming Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) operating system.

Powered by Linux kernel 3.2.6, the first Beta of Ubuntu 12.04 LTS comes with Mozilla Firefox 11.0, Mozilla Thunderbird 11.0, LibreOffice 3.5.0 and an improved Unity interface.

ClickPad support, automatic language support installation for new packages in Ubuntu Software Center, as well as revamped sound preferences dialog, Privacy Settings in Control Center, and Head-Up Display (HUD) are also present in this development release.
