The Ubuntu 10.04.2 LTS release brings to its dedicated users a lot of security updates and corrections, all with a single goal: to keep Ubuntu 10.04 LTS a stable and reliable Linux distribution!
Ubuntu 10.04.2 LTS fixes some installation bugs, various upgrade issues, improves support for many hardware components, and fixes annoying desktop bugs.
Ubuntu 10.04.2 LTS release is available for Ubuntu desktop/server users, Kubuntu desktop and Xubuntu desktop users (see download links at the end of the article).
Existing Ubuntu 10.04 LTS users do not need to download the ISO image(s) again. Just update your machine(s) and you'll have Ubuntu 10.04.2 LTS, with all the security updates and corrections!

Ubuntu 10.04.2 (Lucid Lynx) is a Long Term Support (LTS) distribution, supported with maintenance updates and security fixes until April 2013 on desktops, and April 2015 on servers.
The next maintenance release, Ubuntu 10.04.3 LTS, will be announced on July 29th, 2011. The last one, Ubuntu 10.04.4 LTS, will be available for download next year, on January 22nd.
