The Crew, the upcoming racing game from Ubisoft Reflections and Ivory Tower, has just received a few new leaked details, this time concerning gameplay, its open world, and its multiplayer.

Ubisoft Reflections impressed many with Driver: San Francisco a few years ago, and now the studio is working with the former Test Drive Unlimited developers from Ivory Tower on a new racing game called The Crew, according to recent rumors.

Now, a report has surfaced on NowGamer with fresh details about Ubisoft's new racing game.

The Crew is going to be similar to Driver: San Francisco in terms of racing style, adopting arcade mechanics, and it's going to feature an open world, with the option of jumping around a map of the USA in a Google Maps-style mechanic.

Players can engage simply in races or challenges but can also ride freely in the open world.

Multiplayer will support up to eight simultaneous players and includes both competitive and cooperative events, although no other details were given.

The Crew is expected to appear across generations this year, with platforms like PC, PlayStation 3, or Xbox 360, but also PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
