Video game publisher Ubisoft has announced that it is planning to make a big push for the Facebook audience by launching during its fiscal 2012 year games like CSI: Miami, House, M.D.: Critical Cases and NCIS: Major Crimes.

All the games are based on high profile television shows that Ubisoft has previously used to create video games for mobile devices, from the PlayStation Portable and the Nintendo DS to smartphones.

The House powered video game will allow players to join the diagnostics team as they try to make sense of the most complex medical cases arriving at the Princeton-Plainsboro Teaching Hospital, with players able to join with friends to perform diagnostics, make visits to homes, investigate symptoms, all before the end of 2011.

The NCIS: Major Crimes Facebook game will put the player in the not too comfortable shoes of Probie, an up and coming investigator, who joins various characters seen on the television show to solve complex crimes, working crime scenes and interrogating suspects.

Players will need to form Filed Teams with friends in order to tackle the biggest cases.

The CSI: Miami based game will be similar in nature, with players partnering up with the famous Horatio Caine as he scours Miami for suspects and tackles the most difficult cases.

Chris Early, who is the vice president of Digital Publishing at Ubisoft, stated, “Ubisoft continues to focus on delivering a diverse portfolio of quality content across all platforms to please our fans,” said. “Our license-based Facebook titles have performed well this year, including The Smurfs & Co. and CSI: Crime City. With CSI: Miami, House, M.D.: Critical Cases and NCIS: Major Crimes, we’re giving more fans new ways of being a part of and sharing in their favorite fictional worlds.”

Companies like Electronic Arts have already managed to do very well with Facebook games based on The Sims and Dragon Age.
