Video game publisher Ubisoft and hardware maker Nvidia announce that they are entering a partnership that’s designed to enhance the currently available Splinter Cell: Blacklist and the upcoming Watch Dogs and Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag.

Nvidia will deliver new technologies like TXAA, HBAO+ and full support for SLI.

The company says that, “TXAA creates a clear, smooth image that is free from almost all aliasing, edge crawling, and flickering.”

HBAO+ is designed to enhance ambient occlusion and is twice as detailed and three times as fast as the previous tech.

Splinter Cell: Blacklist is a video game that features impressive light use and shadows are very important for gameplay, so the game will benefit greatly from both Nvidia tech.

Tony Tamasi, senior vice president at Nvidia, says that his company “worked closely with Ubisoft’s incredibly talented creative team throughout the development process to incorporate our technologies and deliver the most immersive and visually spectacular game worlds imaginable.”
