Video game publisher Ubisoft announces that it is getting ready to launch a new, fourth full version of its Uplay service in October 2013, complete with a number of new features and full support for the coming Xbox One and PlayStation 4.

The team says that the biggest addition is integration for Twitch, which allows players to share gaming moments with friends and broadcast their favorite experiences.

Uplay 4.0 is also integrating a new download manager that handles all downloads and patches better and a new social wall is also being added to the program.

The service is also being prepared for the launch of the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4 and Ubisoft states, “gamers will benefit from the uPlay Win program, which rewards fans for their commitment to Ubisoft’s brands, both in-game and in real life with additional in-game content such as items and accessories, and invitations to consumer and industry events.”
