Yves Guillemot, the current chief executive officer of publisher Ubisoft, says that his company is satisfied with the response that players have given to the E3 2014 reveal of Rainbow Six Siege and he believes that the game will fulfill some core gamer needs.

He tells the official company site that “They really understand that gamers who play shooters want speed, they want responsiveness, they want 60 frames per second, and they want to be able to have surprising moments and emotional connections. Rainbow Six answers those needs.”

Rainbow Six Siege aims to bring back the classic tactical gameplay of the series, with players asked to carefully evaluate a situation, create a solid plan and then execute on it without any mistakes in order to kill terrorists and save hostages.

Guillemot says that players will also be satisfied with the fact that death comes easily to those who do not play the game with care and skill, because it shows them that each life and attempt counts in the game.

Rainbow Six Siege will be launched in 2015 and will only be playable on the PC, the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4 in order to deliver improved graphics and solid gameplay that current-gen consoles cannot accommodate.
