The development team at Ubisoft Montpellier that created the recent Rayman Legends says that all the tools that it developed for the game can be used for bigger projects, including the much rumored Beyond Good & Evil 2.

Michel Ancel, the leader of the team, tells Edge in a tech-related interview that his team is ready to tackle an AAA project next.

He says, “We believe we can achieve big games even with this size; more could be done by the computer and we can focus on the really important things done by real people.”

Apparently, the Ubisoft Montpellier team will go dark for about one year and will then offer more information on the project it is working on.

Beyond Good & Evil 2 was first unveiled by the publisher in 2008 and since then, the project seems to have gone through a number of design reboots.
