If you think that Ubisoft is fed up with the Assassin’s Creed franchise and the fact that it launches more than 1 title per year, then think again. It looks like the French company has no intention of letting the series gather dust, not even for a few months.

After announcing two different Assassin’s Creed games for PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4, Ubisoft unexpectedly has released a brand new title in the same franchise, but aimed at mobile gamers: Assassin’s Creed Memories.

Assassin’s Creed Memories is only available for iOS users, but an Android version is not out of the question. We kind of expected Ubisoft to launch their game on Apple’s iOS platform first, as the company did the same thing with Assassin’s Creed: Pirates, which is now available on Android and Windows Phone as well.

Developed by GREE, Ubisoft and PlayNext, Assassin’s Creed Memories is a new card battle game with RPG and strategy elements. Story-wise, the game is supposed to take players deeper into Abstergo Entertainment’s new mobile Animus, which will allow them to become one of history’s most powerful assassins.

Just like in the PC and console titles, players take on an epic adventure to become a master Assassin through different periods in history and in different countries, such as Renaissance Italy and Colonial America.

However, developers also added new locations which players will be able to visit while playing Assassin’s Creed Memories, including feudal Japan and imperial Mongolia.

You will be able to play in single-player missions, which will allow you to hunt boss targets, earn ally cards, and collect powerful gear that will help you overcome greater challenges.

Assassin’s Creed Memories also offers a multiplayer aspect, where players will be fighting in guild battles in brand new eras. As you unlock more cards, you will be able to fully customize your gameplay experience.

There are three different categories of cards: Weapons, Armour, and Allies. With the Weapons and Armour cards, players can build the attack and defense stats of their characters as well as change the look of their Assassin.

While playing Assassin’s Creed Memories you will encounter famous characters in the franchise, who will become your allies. They have special abilities that will greatly aid you in combat.

According to developers, the game can offer an amazing multiplayer gameplay experience that involves 20 vs. 20 player guild battles. Simply customize your attack strategy by picking and choosing your guild’s strongest members and work on combo attacks to win battles in PvP competition.

You can now download Assassin’s Creed Memories for iOS for free. The game should be fully compatible with all iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch devices powered by iOS 6.0 or later.

Keep in mind that the game requires an Internet connection and features in-app purchases, which can be disabled from your phone’s devices settings.
