Ubisoft has confirmed that it has a long-term plan for Watch Dogs, its upcoming action adventure game, as such a strategy allows it to construct the game and its story to more easily fit in with potential sequels.

Watch Dogs impressed lots of gamers in the past year, and Ubisoft has high hopes for its all-new property that will be out in November.

According to the studio’s Dominic Guay, via The Guardian, the company already has a long-term plan for Watch Dogs, as it results in an array of improvements for the title.

"If there's a clear long-term plan, you'll have stronger characters, the universe will be more coherent. So when you have the luxury of creating a new brand – which is happening less and less in this industry, you need to do just that."

While Guay didn't explicitly confirm a sequel, he said that the team at Ubisoft was ready to take Watch Dogs into multiple directions, depending on fan feedback.
