Ubisoft Chief Executive Officer Yves Guillemot confirmed that the next Assassin's Creed, Tom Clancy's The Division, and Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege would all be released before the end of the next fiscal year, which is to say before March 31, 2016.

The information comes from Ubisoft's latest investor conference call, where Guillemot revealed some details about the three games and also mentioned that the Assassin's Creed movie was in production, aiming for a December 2016 release.

The games are apparently on course for release, and since Guillemot mentioned that Ubisoft would be releasing a total of five different AAA games during the upcoming fiscal year, it means that we have two mystery announcements on our hands.

The other two games were not discussed, but more information about them, possible release dates and launch platforms will be made public at the end of May.

The next Assassin's Creed will be built on the AC Unity engine

Guillemot also talked about the launch issues that Assassin's Creed Unity, the latest entry in the popular franchise, experienced, stating that the transition to a new console generation and the need to build a completely new engine were the main culprits.

Now that the company has the engine necessary to power the next installment in the action-adventure series, it is confident that such woes will be avoided in the future. Guillemot put a positive spin on all the problems Ubisoft experienced, mentioning that the experience accumulated during the transition to the new technology would benefit the next game.

Next Assassin's Creed is set in Victorian London and slated for release during the fall of 2015. For the time being, it goes by the code name of Victory and is expected on the PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 platforms.

The upcoming title will allegedly come with some neat gameplay innovations to go alongside the change of scenery, which would be something that the series needs in order to avoid fatigue.
