Developer and publisher Ubisoft has confirmed the existence of Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag star Adewale in the upcoming last-gen action adventure title Assassin's Creed Rogue.

The reveal comes from a tweet on the publisher's official account, showing the pirate turned assassin Adewale crossing swords with Shay Patrick Cormack, the protagonist of AC Rogue, in a deadly engagement.

Adewale was previously featured in a gameplay video that the company released last week, but the company wasn't clear whether it was the same character at the time, even though most of the fans were certain of it.

Adewale was one of the main characters of Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag, Edward Kenway's quartermaster aboard the pirate ship Jackdaw. He was born a slave, and would eventually go on to become the captain of his own ships, the Victoire and Experto Crede, which he would use to liberate other slaves around the Caribbean.

Assassin's Creed Rogue is a history-based video game following an Assassin that grows disillusioned with the brotherhood's methods, becoming a Templar and dedicating his life to hunting Assassins after being betrayed by his own kind.

The game is slated for a November 11 release in North America, and for a November 13 launch in Europe and other PAL territories, coming exclusively to the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 home consoles.
