Video game publisher Ubisoft has announced that it is working on a new music themed video game called ABBA You Can Dance, which will arrive exclusively on the Nintendo Wii home console at some point during the month of November.

Three studios from Ubisoft, based in Paris, Bucharest and Montpellier are working on ABBA You Can Dance.

The game will include no less than 25 songs from the famous Swedish band, including hits like “Dancing Queen”, “Mamma Mia”, “Take a Chance on Me” and “Waterloo”.

The developers are also including a number of dance routines that have been created using the original concepts of the band but with updated concepts from modern dancing and ABBA You Can Dance will offer a number of unique environments draw from the music videos and the live performances of the band.

The game seems to be based on the structure of the Just Dance series, with two players able to sing along to the lyrics that scroll on the screen of the Nintendo Wii while up to four are tracked as they perform the dance moves.

ABBA You Can Dance also includes a game mode that allows players to act out a number of roles in a love story that is based on the songs of the band.

The game also offers original video content and a number of anecdotes about ABBA that will be unlockable through gameplay.

Geoffroy Sardin, who is the chief marketing and sales officer at Ubisoft working for the Europe, Middle East and Asia region, has stated when the announcement was made that, “In the video game market, Ubisoft is the dancing king. With ABBA You Can Dance, players can dance, they can jive, and they can have the time of their lives, all thanks to ABBA’s music and Ubisoft’s latest entertaining dance video game.”
