14 DAY TRIAL // Ubisoft has made a new acquisition: the studio behind the flourishing free-to-play ''Hungry Shark'' franchise, Future Games Of London.
It seems that the “Hungry Shark” IP has had more than 25 million users in 2011, and as a result, it has attracted quite a lot of attention.
Besides “Hungry Shark,” the studio has managed to create another successful iteration called “Hungry Shark Evolution,” scoring more than 30 million downloads since it was launched in September.
By understanding the type of people who enjoy playing on their tablets and smartphones, they have managed to create games with great recognition and understanding, plus an immediate global appeal.
Managing director of Future Games of London, Ian Harper, stated that the studio was thrilled with the opportunity of joining Ubisoft and that they were looking forward to their collaboration.
