Ubisoft, creators of video-game masterpiece Assassin's Creed, have just gone public announcing that their Imagine series of video games is now available at retailers. The collection of games intended for girls ages 6 to 14, sports the following titles: Imagine Animal Doctor, Imagine Babyz, Imagine Fashion Designer and Imagine Master Chef. The games have been developed for Nintendo's handheld, the DS.

Ubisoft first
announced the Imagine series at the E3 this year, according to an official report, as part of the company's strategic expansion into the casual games market. Ubisoft has created the Imagine line specifically for youngsters, through extensive lifestyle research. The company has a long-term vision for casual gaming.

"The Imagine games are a great way for young girls not just to have fun, but to become familiar with today's hottest gaming consoles," said Helene Juguet, senior director of U.S. marketing at Ubisoft. "Ubisoft is excited about being an active participant in further driving this evolution of the gaming market and expanding the world of gaming for young girls."

Here's a little bit on each of the games, for parents looking forward to get one of the games for their offspring, or why not the whole bunch, for the complete experience:

Imagine Animal Doctor allows girls to expand their creativity and run their own veterinary clinic. Explore the world of animals and medical care where players are responsible for taking care of a large number of animals and building the most evolved hospital.

Imagine Babyz lets players become a babysitter and take care of up to six babies. Players are given the task of changing diapers, monitoring the babies' health, preparing bottles and feeding the babies and taking the babies out for walks.

Imagine Fashion Designer invites players to expand their creativity and puts them in charge of creating a whole new fashion line. Girls explore the fantastic and glamorous world of fashion and play the role of designer for a fashion design studio in New York. Players keep their ears and eyes open for the next hot trends to create successful collections and become Manhattan's hippest designer.

Imagine Master Chef allows players to create recipes from all over the world using the stylus to prepare, stir and cook ingredients. Players can customize their kitchens with utensils and appliances. Fun mini-games include cooking quizzes and kitchen challenges.

All the games mentioned above are currently available for the Nintendo DS. Each game will set you back $29.99.
