If you’re looking into ways to customize your operating system with third-party themes, you probably know that doing this is impossible without UXTheme Multi-Patcher, a dedicated tool specifically designed to help you in this regard, no matter what Windows version you are running.

The application has just received a new update that brings Glass transparency support for Windows 8 and Windows 8.1, which means that in case you deploy the WinAeroGlass theme, you can now use the transparency effects and thus make your operating system look cooler.

At the same time, UXTheme Multi-Patcher 10.0 comes to fix potential black screen bug caused by permission issues, so in case you’ve been experiencing such errors, make sure that you deploy this new build as soon as possible.

At this point, UXTheme Multi-Patcher works on all Windows versions that are still being users by consumers worldwide, including the very popular Windows XP that was retired on April 8. No Windows 8.1 Update support is currently being offered, but the application should work just fine on this version too.

Here are the supported operating systems right now, as mentioned by the official website of the developer:

Windows XP x86 Editions Windows XP x64 Editions Windows Server 2003 x86 and x64 Editions Windows Vista x86 and x64 Editions Windows Server 2008 x86 and x64 Editions Windows 7 x86 and x64 Editions Windows Server 2008 R2 x86 and x64 Editions Windows 8 x86 and x64 Editions Windows Server 2012 x86 and x64 Editions Windows 8.1 x86 and x64 Editions Windows Server 2012 R2 x86 and x64 Editions

If you’re into third-party skinning, you sure know that there are plenty of themes and visual styles out there, all supposed to help you customize the looks of the Windows operating system. Most of the themes are aimed at Windows 7, but more Windows 8 skins are emerging these days, so this new update definitely comes in handy for many users trying to add transparency to their modern Windows version.

That’s exactly the purpose of the app, the devs said in a short description published on the official website.

“Since Windows XP was released, there are countless 3rd-party visual styles released by many skinners in order to improve user’s experiences and eye candy. To use non-certified visual style is disallowed by Microsoft’s certificate protection so you need to bypass certification verification in uxtheme.dll,” the statement reads.

In the end, this new update should clearly come in handy to many users out there, so download UXTheme Multi-Patcher 10.0 with support for Windows 8 and 8.1 right now.
