American Dream Partnership's UTC Global Clock has just been updated to version 3.0, adding count-up and countdown timers, stopwatches, hourly chimes, and other useful functionality support for over 300 worldwide time zones, associated with daylight saving time rules, when appropriate, and more than 50 other enhancements. Click HERE to download your free version of UTC Global
Clock (runs for 12 hours, after which you have to start it up again).

The first screen grab you see to the left shows a single menu bar time display at the top, and 6 screen corner displays at the bottom. As you can see, all time displays have an associated menu. Users can see the menu that is summoned by clicking on the menu bar time display.

The utility supports an unlimited number of time displays, each appearing in your menu bar or screen corner and/or in the Mac OS X dock icon. UTC Global Clock can also display the current UTC date. UTC Display can automatically adjust for Daylight Saving Time, and may be configured for use worldwide. Its "Auto-Hide" feature keeps UTC Global Clock from interfering with other screen items.

UTC Global Clock 3.0 is a Universal Binary, meaning it is compatible with both PowerPC and Intel-based machines. Requirements call for a Macintosh with an Intel or PowerPC processor, at least 30 MB available hard disk space, 640 x 480 resolution monitor (14") or larger, Mac OS X 10.3.9 or later.

UTC Global Clock is free to try, and runs in demonstration mode for 12 hours. Then, you can extend the demo period as many times as you like, with a single click each time, American Dream Partnership confirms. It can be annoying, but not if you're a cheapskate. The not-annoying version of UTC Global Clock (plus two years of free updates) costs 12.95 USD. It is available from the producer's website. The software also includes technical support via e-mail.
