iPhone will be released on the 11th of June, according to AT&T mobile network operator. The remaining question for all those that already plan on buying such a mobile phone is how much the data plan will cost for this smartphone.

The speculations on the data plan are numerous, all estimating a price ranged somewhere between USD 20 and USD 40, both high costs, considering the fact that the phone doesn't come cheap either.

Latest rumors seem to balance these speculations at USD 30. The price is still high, considering the fact that iPhone includes only EDGE data and Wi-Fi services. Moreover, the phone is not 3G enabled, which also counts when considering the high price of this offer.

Still, it is hard to believe that the iPhone will fail to be a success because of a high data plan cost. After all the discussions and rumors it has generated, this promises to be a statement phone model and a must-own for many curious people. A device that has received so much praise and which comes at such a high expense can only be worth the money, or so it might seem if we think of the high interest that it has aroused until now.

AT&T's smartphone unlimited data plan currently costs about USD 20. Whether the iPhone will make a difference or will come with another data plan package, it is not yet known. The unofficial estimated USD 30 has come from a Cingular business sales representative and has immediately made a debate subject over the Internet.

Apple has officially priced the iPhone at USD 600 for the 8 GB model and USD 500 for the 4 GB one. The phone will be available in the AT&T network on all GSM enabled mobile phone for the next 5 years.
