Every once in a while, a company will receive some sort of special recognition for its activities. Kingston Digital, Inc., the Flash memory affiliate of Kingston Technology Company, Inc., is the one celebrating something of the sort right now.

The company was taken into account during the sixth Reseller Choice Awards in Canada, and won two prizes. One of them is for Best Flash Drive and the other is for Best Memory.

What this means is that Kingston Digital is considered the best in a certain category.

There were a total of 82 categories, which meant 82 awards. Kingston getting two when more than 500 vendors participated was no small feat.

There were over 16,000 votes, gathered through e-ChannelNews and ecnTV, making this the largest channel survey in Canada.

“This is our sixth year giving out this reseller award to our most distinguished vendors,” said Julian Lee, president, TechnoPlanet Productions Inc.

“If you win a Reseller Choice Award, it says that the channel appreciates what you are doing and they think you are the best of the best! It is also a great opportunity to connect with your fellow peers and exchange ideas.”

Kingston is currently celebrating a 25th anniversary, of sorts, as part of the memory industry. It scored points for the ValueRAM (white-box systems) and HyperX (high-end / gaming systems) product lines.

The DataTraveler line of flash drives is a great contributor to its fame as well. Next year, Kingston may get awards for solid-state drives, wireless drives, and so on. Naturally, it will have great competitors, which makes everything all the more exciting.

“We are honored to win such a great award,” said David Kuo, general manager, Canada, Kingston.

“The Canadian Team works diligently throughout the year to provide the best products and service possible. It is nice to be recognized for it.”
