Wishing to offer customers a solution to the issue of memory card readers unable to keep with the actual cards themselves, Silicon power developed the USB 3.0 ALL IN ONE.

With how fast memory cards are getting nowadays, old memory card readers not only sometimes lack support for advanced formats, but they can't really take advantage of the high read and write speed either.

For instance, Silicon Power itself offers a CompactFlash (CF) card that can go as high as 90 MB/s, which is more than twice as fast as what is allowed by USB 2.0.

Fortunately, the SuperSpeed USB 3.0 connection exists, so Silicon Power decided to call upon its data rate of 5 Gbps to build what it calls the USB 3.0 ALL IN ONE.

Measuring 73 x 50 x 13 mm and weighing 55 grams, it comes with five card slots that can read and write at the same time.

This means that professional photographers will have all they need to copy photos and videos shot with their cameras without wasting any time.

The list of supported formats is, as implied by the ALL IN ONE moniker, extensive, including CD, SD, M2, micro SD, SDHC, SDXC MS Pro, MS Duo, MS Pro Duo, MS Pro HD, MS XC and MMC,

Of course, backwards compatibility is provided, so the data can be sent to and from the adapter at not just 5 Gbps, but also 480 Mbps (USB 2.) and 12 Mbps.

The company also made sure that many operating systems are supported, such as Windows 7, Windows Vista, Windows XP and Windows 2000, both 32bit and 64bit versions, when applicable.

Apple's Mac 10.2.8, Mac 10.5.6,Mac 10.5.8 and Mac 10.6.4 are also capable of interfacing with the product.

Other assets include a LED status indicator, a USB 3.0 cable of 50 cm and a 2-year warranty (the price was not mentioned in the press release).
