They are largely the same in design, but their performance differs

Silicon Power has just released a pair of flash drive series which look more or less the same but are completely different in name, which is queer. Still, they do have a pair of significant enough difference to justify it: the USB support and the color options.

On the one hand, we have the Touch T07, which possess USB 2.0 technology, meaning 480 Mbps transfer bandwidth at best.

On the other hand, there is the Jewel J07 line, which is composed of flash drives featuring the USB 3.0 SuperSpeed standard, 5 Gbps top speed (though it's unlikely to be reached in real-life performance).

The newcomers all have compact, rubberized cases, thanks to the Chip On Board technology, or COB for short, which also renders them resistant to vibrations, dust and water. Furthermore, all the drives have a lid-holder strap design and the Recuva File Recovery software (to recover accidentally erased files).

The flash drives come in 8 GB to 64 GB capacities (though the Touch T07 also offer a 4 GB option) and are colored Rosy Pink / Baby Blue (Touch T07) and Aqua Green / Dark Grey (Jewel J07). Finally, Windows 8/7/XP, Mac OS 10.3.x, and Linux 2.6.x operating systems are supported.

Unfortunately, Silicon Power did not say what prices the newcomers would bear. You'll have to wait for them to show up for sale online or in street stores for that last detail.
