The Tunisian Cyber Army, in collaboration with the Al Qaida Electronic Army, has initiated a campaign against the United Stated dubbed Operation Black Summer (OpBlackSummer).

illSecure reports that the Tunisian Cyber Army has managed to identify and exploit SQL Injection vulnerabilities on two domains owned by the US Department of State. The attackers claim to have obtained sensitive information, and the IP addresses of government computers and servers.

In addition to the US Department of State, the members of the Tunisian Cyber Army have also discovered, and reportedly exploited, a cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability on the Pentagon’s Army National Guard website.

The hackers have told HackRead that they plan on exploiting the security holes they’ve identified for OpBlackSummer, a campaign in which they’re also collaborating with Chinese hackers.

It’s worth mentioning that this is the second time this year when hackers find vulnerabilities in the systems of the US Department of State. Back in February, Anonymous hacktivists leaked the details of hundreds of users from state.gov databases as part of OpLastResort.
