Republicans have left the government without funding over Obamacare

The official website of the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) has been shut down. However, the downtime is due to lack of budget, not hacker attacks.

As Anonymous hacktivists highlight, for once, they can’t be blamed.

“Due to the lapse in federal government funding, this website is not available. We sincerely regret this inconvenience. After funding has been restored, please allow some time for this website to become available again,” reads a message posted on the USDA website.

The problem, as US President Barack Obama himself explains, is that a group of Republicans in the House of Representatives left the government without funding in an effort to shut down Obamacare.

It’s uncertain for how long this crisis will last. However, the president says that the new health insurance market opens as planned on October 1. Furthermore, he’s confident that Obamacare can’t be shut down too easily.
