U.S. Cellular and Alltel Wireless have just announced they have teamed up to begin offering U Prepaid no contract wireless service in select Walmart Stores.

The new service will be available across 18 states starting May. The collaboration between the two carriers aims to offer customers flexible payment options without signing a contract.

Thanks to the agreement, customers will be provided with U Prepaid services on either U.S. Cellular's network or Alltel's airwaves, depending on the location.

For the time being, customers will be able to select one of four U Prepaid devices offered by the two carriers: Samsung Repp, LG Attune / LG Exchange, LG Saber and Samsung Chrono.

Customers can choose from multiple plans, including various data options and plans that include unlimited talk and texting (no roaming charges).
