US Cellular is yet another wireless carrier in the United States interested in adding to its lineup smartphones that are powered by Microsoft’s Windows Phone 8 operating system.

In fact, it seems that the operator has already confirmed plans to launch such smartphones, although it did that on Facebook.

While the Facebook post from the company said that a Windows 8 device was coming, Engadget received confirmation that the post was actually referring to a Windows Phone 8 handset.

No specific details on the matter have been provided as of now, but the company did say that more on this would be shared with the world in May. Windows Phone 8 devices are already available in the country through major wireless carriers, and their availability at US Cellular should help sales a bit.
