Michelle Pheiffer had a nasty surprise a few days ago, when she found out her expensive car was stolen while she was shopping in London.

Pfeiffer, 48, who is in the British capital for shooting her upcoming movie "I Could Never Be Your Woman", parked her $90,000 Range Rover in Camden market, in north London on Tuesday afternoon when the opportunist raiders struck.

It is believed Michelle and her driver were distracted by one of the thieves as they were putting their shopping in the car trunk, while the other jumped into the vehicle with the keys still in the ignition and sped off.

The case is now investigated by the police.

A Scotland Yard spokesman said: "A man aged in his 60s reported the theft in Hawley Crescent, Camden, on Tuesday at 2.30pm."
