LAIKA, the animation studio behind the hit “Coraline,” is gearing up for another release that promises to be just as funny and, at the same time, scary. “ParaNorman,” a kids' horror animation, has just gotten a brand new trailer.

The first trailer dropped at the beginning of November, though it carefully refrained from giving away too much of the plot, it did its part in terms of teasing audiences.

The latest clip offers a bit more insight into the life of Norman, the little boy with weird hair and weirder friends, who finds himself in the midst of the greatest adventure of his life.

He sees dead people, we learn. Not only that, but he also knows that ghosts and zombies will attack the small town he lives in – and it's up to him to do something about it, to prevent them from taking over.

“ParaNorman” will be out in theaters in August 2012.
