He has no issues in running the government from his phone while on vacation

It’s common knowledge that BlackBerry smartphones are among the most secure means of communication on the planet, so anyone who would need security during communication would probably own one.

A long time ago, almost all heads of the most powerful countries in the world would carry a BlackBerry handset with them, even if not as their first phone.

The situation changed in the last few years due to BlackBerry’s fall, so everyone thought that it would be safer to use an iPhone or Android smartphone instead of a BlackBerry device.

Alas, after the NSA scandal when word of US agency listening to Germany’s chancellor Angela Merkel phone and a few others came out, the need for extra security has risen once again.

It looks like most heads of the countries have decided that now is a good time to get rid of their old Androids and/or iPhones and replace them with BlackBerry.

Here are some of the personalities that are now using a BlackBerry smartphone to communicate: US President Barack Obama, Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper, German Chancellor Angela Merkel, Denmark’s Prime Minister Helle Thorning-Schmidt, and last but not least, British Prime Minister, David Cameron.

While we already know that Angela Merkel is now using a BlackBerry Q10 that’s been enhanced with Secusmart’s crypto-chip, which makes it less prone to hacking, this time it’s David Cameron’s turn to come forward with an official statement that reaffirms his reliance on BlackBerry.

Unlike Angela Merkel, the UK Prime Minister is a long-time BlackBerry user. But here are his exact words that reiterate his allegiance to BlackBerry devices:

“Wherever I am in the world, I am always within a few feet of a BlackBerry and an ability to manage things should they need to be managed. And indeed as I have done on I think almost every holiday that I have enjoyed over the past few years, I am able to return instantly should that be necessary.”

For those unaware, the UK government has already banned Apple’s iPad from important Cabinet meetings for fear that these devices aren’t protected enough and they could be bugged by whatever foreign intelligence agency.

There’s no doubt about it, BlackBerry won worldwide recognition for the top-notch security of its phones, but that did not seem to boost its sales, sadly.

Now if only BlackBerry Passport is launched on the market sooner rather than later, that would definitely improve the company's income.
