The Internet tends to become one of the main sources of earning money with ease because more and more users are attracted to the online fraud and other ways for tricking people and steal their financial information. As you know, phishing attacks are currently affecting millions of users from every corner of the world, the users remaining completely vulnerable, as the security companies are not able to develop a powerful solution to defend us.

Today, Monsters and Critics reported that more than 3.5 millions users from the UK represent the victims of the online fraud in the last year. "The government-supported Get Safe Online campaign says that the average amount of money lost to Internet con-artists in 2006 was ?875. Get Safe Online managing director Tony Neate today said: 'The internet is a fantastic resource and its use is growing daily. Unfortunately, it is now also being used by criminals who are out to defraud us," the publication reported.

So, is there any chance to protect our computers against these threats? As long as the security companies don't manage to develop a powerful solution to protect the computer, the users remain completely vulnerable to any type of Internet attack. In the past, there were numerous attempts of phishing, spam and hack attacks, all of them recording an impressive number of victims.

At this time, the authorities from numerous countries in every corner of the world are fighting to reduce the number of the malicious Internet attempts by releasing new laws and increasing the punishments for certain illegalities. Although the entire world is fighting against them, the hackers are continuously working to harm our computer so we should really join the forces and report the malicious attempts.
