Although the Babyshambles frontman, Pete Doherty, started singing with his band within hours after he left the rehabilitation facility the London Priory Clinic, the dates for their UK tour have all been canceled on account that he needs more time to recuperate. According to a statement from the rock band, Pete asked them to try to find a means to give him more time before touring again. Consequently, the fans in Liverpool, Glasgow, Nottingham, Manchester and Newcastle will not get to see them play on the dates for which they had purchased tickets. 'Babyshambles have made the decision to postpone the remaining five dates of their current UK tour. It has become clear that Peter embarked on this arduous and high profile tour too soon after his discharge and still needs time to recover from his extensive rehab treatment. Peter asks that he be given time and space to continue with his excellent effort to recover', the statement from the rockers read. But do not despair: the Babyshambles reassure their fans that they will proceed with the postponed tour sooner than expected and that the tickets bought for the gigs that got delayed will remain valid for the band's next performances. A date for them is yet to be announced.
