The game is performing well even on the old home console

The Xbox One and the PlayStation 4 might grab all the headlines, but the older generation of hardware can still deliver major sales for a title, with Titanfall, the shooter from developer Respawn Entertainment and publisher Electronic Arts, managing to move 71 percent of its copies on the Xbox 360.

The information comes from Chart-Trak, quoted by Eurogamer, and might be seen as a vindication of the decision to delay the game on the current-gen device in order to give the developers at Blulepoint Games the time to make sure that they create a quality game experience.

There are no plans for cross-platform play for Titanfall because of the differences between the three versions of the experience.

This week, we will also see the impact that the launch of the exclusive title has had on sales of Microsoft platforms when compared to their Sony-made rivals.

The development team at Respawn Entertainment has already announced the first downloadable content pack for the game, which is set to include three new maps for gamers to fight on.

At the same time, more updates for the title are being planned, set to re-balance the weapons and mechs, while also adding new features like the new Private Matches.
