UGG Australia, the maker of the (in)famous boot that everybody seems to love to hate, is coming out with a new line of Uggs that aim to bring comfort where none has been before: bridal Uggs.

The line is called the I Do! Capsule Collection and includes 3 different styles, priced as the regular boot but adding a plus of sparkle and comfort to a woman's biggest day.

We have the Sparkles I Do! and the Bailey I Do! boots, and one pair of fluffy flip flops that can be worn (we assume) either on the wedding day or later on, on the romantic honeymoon.

As with every other boot it put out so far, UGG underlines its biggest advantage remains versatility: the bridal Uggs too can be worn on non-wedding related occasions as well.

“This boot provides luxury bridal comfort as brides and their bridal parties pamper themselves before and after the wedding,” a post on the official website writes.

As for what makes this new capsule collection stand out from the other Uggs, it's obviously its white color. We also have sequins and rhinestones, and lots of delicate pastels, pale blues and pinks.

Each of the three items spell comfort and femininity, combined with the now trademark attention to details.

Useless to say, reaction to the new bridal shoes has been mixed, to say the least.

While TheGloss hails it as a very original and welcome release, many voices online claim wearing Uggs on your wedding day would mark the death of a very beautiful, albeit painful, tradition.

The Daily Mail says that the most virulent reactions to the bridal Uggs were on Twitter, with both women and industry people lamenting the release.

“Worst news I've ever heard in my life,” one user wrote, while another said it was “a bit late for April fools.”

The Bridal Atelier urged followers not to give in to the (all too tempting) promise of ultimate comfort on your wedding day, saying simply “Please girls, no!”
