UFOs to be real since the mid 1940s, claims British researcher

A recent investigation by British UFO expert Philip Mantle in Roswell, New Mexico - the most known supposed crash site of an unidentified flying object, which drew worldwide attention in 1947 - is supposed to shed new light on the alien visiting phenomenon.

The UFO topic is among the most controversial ones ever since unexplained happenings or mysterious sightings began to take place during the mid 1940s. Basically, this divides humankind into five categories: the ones who claim to have actually seen (or been kidnapped by) aliens or UFOs, those who think the universe is too large for us to be the only intelligent beings there, the pragmatic few who are still undecided and wait to see whether any palpable data is ever going to be revealed, those who actually don't care and the vast majority that dismisses these claims as totally unbelievable and foolish.

In order to finally make a stand for the believers’ side, British UFO researcher Philip Mantle, Editor of UFO Data Magazine, decided to perform his own study at the most famous site of a hypothetical UFO crash, Roswell, New Mexico. UFO supporters claim that an alien craft and several bodies were collected by the military and government officials in a cover-up attempt. The official release of the time issued by the US military reported the recovery of the remains of a high-altitude surveillance balloon involved in a top-secret program named “Mogul”. In order to find the truth, Mantle investigated the surrounding charred vegetation, as well as the soil and rocks which were covered by an enigmatic blue substance. Referring to the radiation levels, US physicist Dr. Ronald Rau found them to be high during his 1940s research, which pointed to a possible spaceship landing at the location. Also, Roswell is situated near another site which was reported by scientists to have provided the scene for a similar event in 1964, the famous Socorro desert.

Related to his research, Mantle said, “A good friend of mine Ed Gerham first found the site and I flew over as soon as I could. It was a real find and as soon as I arrived there I knew what a special and peculiar place it was. There is nothing around it for around 70 miles, it is literally in the middle of nowhere. Us Brits really have beaten the Americans at their own game and it is really great that we have done that. It really is revolutionary for the UFO world.”

The full results of his study will be unveiled during the international UFO Data Annual Conference which will take place in Leeds, UK, later this month.
