For the week that ended on February 18, the United Kingdom video game chart put together by Chart Track shows the THQ developed and published UFC Undisputed 3 taking the top spot in the chart, denying another week at the top to the perennial presence of FIFA 12.

UFC Undisputed 3 allows gamers to create their own MMA fighter and then compete in a variety of events as they rise to the top of the various promotions, with new options when it comes to the actual combat and more activities to do outside of the fight space.

FIFA 12, the football simulator from EA Sports, has managed to jump from fifth place during the previous week to second, showing that the game, although it was launched in late September 2011, than more recent high-profile launches.

This place in the United Kingdom chart has gone to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 from Activision Blizzard, which also had a good week as it managed to climb from seventh place to the last position on the podium.

Fourth has been taken over by Mario & Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games from SEGA, a game that should get more presence in the chart as the date of the real sporting event draws nearer.

Battlefield 3, the first-person shooter from Electronic Arts, has also managed to go up one place, from sixth to fifth, while Final Fantasy XIII-2, from Japanese publisher Square Enix, has dropped quite a bit to land in the second half of the top ten after getting second place during the previous seven week period.

Skylanders Spyro’s Adventure, the toy-powered experience from Activision, has reentered the top ten in seven place while the biggest drop of the week was registered by The Darkness II from 2K Games, which went from third to eight.

Skyrim is in ninth while Just Dance 3 closes down the top ten. Titles like Assassin’s Creed, Kingdoms of Amalur and Metal Gear HD Collection are out of the top ten positions in the United Kingdom.
