THQ has just presented the next iteration in its UFC franchise, in the form of UFC Undisputed 3, which brings with it massive gameplay changes as well as new events or disciplines, including Pride matches, alongside the regular UFC ones.

After presenting the reboot for its WWE wrestling franchise, in the form of WWE 12, THQ has now showcased to the world UFC Undisputed 3, a new iteration in its other fighting series.

THQ allowed two years of development for the new game, in order to properly enhance and innovate over the previous UFC Undisputed 2010.

As such, the company is proud to say that the new game has plenty of special features, including an alternate and more intuitive control interface, changes made to the striking and grappling systems, as well as lots of other features.

What's more, besides the regular UFC matches, the game is also going to feature Pride ones, reminiscent of the older fighting league which became famous for its extreme violence and lack of rules.

Check out the most important features of UFC Undisputed 3, as highlighted by THQ on the Undisputed website.

Pride mode - The no-holds-barred Japanese MMA league brings with it brutal soccer-style kicks, head stomps and ground knees to the head.

Finish the fight - Take your opponents down with punishing new moves, a brand new submission system and increased focus on presentation.

From broadcast to cage-side - Experience the intensity of UFC with new camera positions, compelling fighter entrances, improved facial animations and a gritty, high contrast appearance.

Gameplay Accessibility - Get right inside the Octagon with simplified gameplay control options, brutalizing opponents after stepping into the cage for the first time.

Extraordinary Roster - More than 150 of the most intense UFC fighters, including the addition of Featherweight and Bantamweight divisions.

Extensive online offering - A significantly revamped online experience, including both new and updated features, rounds out the best competitive fighting experience to date for the franchise. UFC Undisputed 3 is currently in development for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, and will be released later this year.
