UCWeb, the company behind one of the most popular browsers for mobile devices, has made available for download a public beta version of their new UCBrowser 4.0 for Windows Phone, packing it with a great deal of appealing capabilities.

The application is currently up for grabs as UCBrowser 4.0 Preview, but the company notes that a final version will be released in the next two or three weeks.

The new 4.0 Preview of UCBrowser is listed in the Windows Phone Store as version 3.9.9.474 at the moment, offering features such as a Desktop mode, Flexible Modes, Multi-tabs management, Upgraded Sharing, and more.

As UCWeb notes in the application’s description, UCBrowser 4.0 Preview was designed with the aforementioned Desktop mode so as to allow users to enjoy the full features of webpages, the same as they would do when visiting them from a PC.

Additionally, the mobile application was packed with a series of flexible modes, so that users take advantage of a great experience regardless of the time of day or of what they need to do with the browser.

These include Night Mode, Speed Mode, Incognito Browsing, and Text-only Browsing. Moreover, the new app iteration arrives on smartphones with a brightness control option for the Night Mode.

The browser was also improved with a series of Customized Themes & Lockscreen Wallpaper, and allows users to change the skin from the UC Theme Center. They can also use these skins as lockscreen wallpapers.

Better navigation and sharing capabilities

Courtesy of the aforementioned multi-tabs management feature, users can access multiple sites at the same time, while also being able to easily switch between them without refreshing.

With the new UCBrowser 4.0 Preview, Windows Phone users will also be able to scan QR codes or use QR code images that are already stored in their phones.

The app also comes with Speed Dial and Site Navigation, which ensure that users can easily access favorite sites, including Google, Facebook, Twitter, Wikipedia, or Yahoo. Additionally, the browser also allows users to easily download apps such as IRCTC, yatra, Wechat, and others.

The sharing capabilities of the mobile browser were upgraded as well, so that users could send pictures or webpages to their friends on Facebook, Twitter, and other social networks easier than before, straight from UC Browser.

On top of all these, UCWeb redesigned the user interface of UCBrowser in the new release. Those of you who would like to get a taste of it should head over to the Windows Phone Store to download and install the new app iteration.
