UCWeb, the company behind one of the most popular mobile browsers out there, namely UC Browser, announced today updated versions of its applications designed for Android tablets and Android phones, respectively.

The new flavor of the UC Browser for Android Tablet is now available for download as version 2.4.1.345, compatible with all devices powered by Android 2.3 or newer.

The new application release arrives on tablet PCs out there with an enhanced video player, which provides users with features such as a volume controller, as well as with full-screen support.

Furthermore, the player enables users to continue watching a video from the point they last closed it.

Owners of Android slates who download and install the new application version will also enjoy an optimized menu, which should be easier to use in both portrait and landscape mode.

The application offers other powerful capabilities as well, including a Download Manager and Incognito Browsing (which can be used in the same window as the regular mode).

“What’s even more, UC Browser 2.4 for Android Tablet also has a customizable Shortcut Widget, which is like a floating mini menu bar. The browser also allows you to add, close, and switch tabs with swipes of your finger,” UCWeb explains.

As for the aforementioned UC Browser for Android Phones, UCWeb has made it available for download as version 9.3.0.

UC Browser 9.3 for Android phones was updated a few days ago and is capable of offering powerful capabilities to its users, the same as the Tablet version can.

Some of the latest enhancements that the browser arrives with include the possibility to pause and resume downloads. Furthermore, it offers a sneak peek of videos while they are still downloading.

At the same time, UC Browser 9.3 for Android Phone comes with some new add-ons, such as Gestures, Browse Faster, Private Bookmarks, and QR Code Generator.
