One of the most popular mobile browsers available on the market, UC Browser, is about to get a new version on Android platform.

The good folks at UCWeb have just announced that private testing for UC Browser 9.7 is now opened for all Android users who wish to install the beta version of the application and offer their feedback.

Developers have also announced some of the changes included in the new version of UC Browser, so that those who are willing to install it to be able to pinpoint its new features faster and easier.

The first noticeable improvement is the addition of quicker Incognito mode activation, which can now be done from the tab bar. The latest version of UC Browser for Android features complete Zoom support, so users will be able to zoom in and out on all types of webpages, including WAP pages.

UCWeb has also confirmed that it has made some under the hood changes that provide faster browsing with automatic loading of images in a quality that should match that of the user’s connection. This is called “Smart Image Loading” and will be implemented into UC Browser 9.7 if tests end successfully.

Users will also be able to bring out the Address Bar with just quick slide, no matter where they are on the webpage. Last but not least, developers have added a gesture control switch, so users can toggle gestures on and off easier and faster.

For the best results in testing this beta version of UC Browser, developers recommend users to take advantage of Google Search or visit some novel or news websites.

Furthermore, in order to be able to test some of the new features introduced in this beta, users are also recommended to download some video or music files.

Those who already have UC Browser for Android 9.6 installed on their devices won’t be able to update to this beta version via Google Play Store.

UC Browser for Android 9.7 beta is offered as a separate download through the developer’s website, so you will have to sideload it on your compatible device, in order to take advantage of the new features included.

New users or those who wish to test the beta and offer their feedback in return can now download UC Browser for Android 9.7 beta for free via UCWeb’s site.

Keep in mind that the browser should be fully compatible with all devices powered by Android 2.1 and up.
