We reported last week on the availability of UC Browser 2.2.2 for Android tablets and would have expected developers to upload the new version on Google Play Store as soon as possible.

Well, it appears that UCWeb has just pushed a new version of UC Browser for Android tablets on Google’s app store, but it’s not the same iteration that we reported on last week.

Instead, developers have updated the mobile browser to version 2.1.1, which includes other changes than the previously announced application.

According to UCWeb, the following new features and improvements have been included in this version of UC Browser HD:

- Multi-Touch: users can play with UC Browser using gesture commands; - Download & File Manager: fast and stable download speed with convenient file management; - Quick Reads: this RSS Reader keeps user up to date with news from NY Times, CNN, USA Today etc.

UC Browser HD 2.1.1 is now available as a free download via Google Play Store and it should be fully compatible with all tablets running Android 3.0 and up. Check it out here.
