14 DAY TRIAL // Chinese mobile developer UCWeb, makers of the amazingly popular UC Browser mobile application, recently launched a new Android application called UC Cleaner.
According to the developers, UC Cleaner is the first free phone cleaner and booster available for Android devices. The application is very easy to use and allows users to clean up junk files, free up RAM, boost memory and manage apps.
In addition, UC Cleaner can also intelligently clean background processes and stop hidden running apps. Apart from that, it's also light on the storage, as the application installation package is only 1.5MB in size.
UC Cleaner did not spend too many days in Google Play Store and already has more than 10,000 installs and a 4.5 out of 5.0 rating.
Easy to use, free to download with no ads
“As smartphones become ubiquitous, we are highly dependent on cleaner apps to manage usage. However, many Android cleaner apps themselves are large in size and resource-intensive, which is contrary to their original intention.
“UC Cleaner is compact in size but does not compromise on functionality. With UC Cleaner, we’re taking a new approach to boosting performance while minimizing extra burden on the system,” said James Wong, product manager, UC Cleaner.
You can now download UC Cleaner for Android for free via Google Play store. The application should be fully compatible with all devices powered by Android 2.2 and up.
Keep in mind though that some feature won't work on devices that are powered by Android 4.0 or lower, such as the memory boost master function that's supposed to free up RAM by closing apps that slow down the device and disable auto-start apps in non-rooted devices.
It's also worth mentioning that even though it's available for free, it doesn't come with any ads like many other free apps in the Google Play Store.
