Once upon a time, Apple was a nice, colorful company that made computers. Then they thought they're good at everything else, so they released the greatest mp3 player of all time and the world fell at the feet of the iPOD.

Then, they realized people are very much into phones, so they planed the greatest mobile phone of them all (not going to happen, but anyway), the iPHONE. Well, iJoking aside, Apple is becoming more of a popular company than ever, and it's greatly due to its iPod. The iPod has broken all barriers of space, language, nationality, age, religion, common reason and reached every breathing human on Earth and not only. Yeah, it's a phenomenon.

Filed under "Another Amazing Thing the iPod Can Do", US soldiers in Iraq may begin using the iPod to better adapt to the language spoken by locals. A software called VCOM Mobile was developed to enable US soldiers to communicate with locals using simple, frequently-used phrases. The iPod running VCOM Mobile will pronounce Arabic sentences and phrases and will animate hand gestures customed for the expressed content.

"The program comes equipped with 20 military missions, ranging from vehicle control point and cordon and search to patrol, meet and greet and medical triage", says MacNewsWorld editor. The soldiers would scroll through the missions and select the appropriate one for access to numerous phrases.

The program was developed by VCom3D and it's intended for mobile devices using Flash video (iPods, PDAs, phones). "It's unique in that you can put it in your vest and take it with you," says Carol Wideman, president and CEO of VCom3D.

So, looks like Apple iPods are going to war to save the lives of US militaries. It's not "what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country", right, Apple?
