U.S. Cellular is the fourth North American carrier to confirm it offer customers Windows Phone 8 devices this fall.

Although the operator did not mention any phone models and/or release dates, U.S. Cellular stated for PC Magazine the following:

We believe in giving our customers the latest technology and device options and we are excited about the Windows 8 phone. It will be an important part of our device lineup going forward.”

AT&T, T-Mobile USA and Verizon Wireless already announced their support for Microsoft's latest Windows Phone 8 platform by releasing several smartphones by the end of the year.

It is also worth mentioning that Windows Phone 8 will be fully compatible with both CDMA and LTE technology, which will cope well with U.S. Cellular's recently launched 4G network. Stay tuned for more updates on the matter.
