We’ve just been informed via email that U.S. Cellular has some Gingerbread love for the Original Galaxy Tab owners. The carrier has just released an Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread update, which is now available for download here.

Make sure you read the installation guide that explains the upgrade process, as well as the features that this update has to offer.

For the tech-savvy, the software update EJ06 is about 220 MB and brings the tablet’s firmware to version Android 2.3.5.

In case you’re wondering what else you’ll get here is an excerpt from the update’s change log: Improved Management, User Interface Refinement, More Control over Applications, Improved Text Interface, Enhanced Bluetooth capabilities, as well as one-touch word selection and Copy/Paste.

As always make sure you backup all your personal data, so you won’t feel sorry if it gets wiped.
