U.S. Cellular and Samsung have teamed to offer the customers the SCH-LC11 Mobile Hotspot device.

The lightweight device provides customers with high-speed connectivity on U.S. Cellular’s 4G LTE network and enables them to share Internet to up to five Wi-Fi-enabled devices.

Samsung SCH-LC11 Mobile Hotspot is now available for purchase online and will be in stores by May 21.

According to the carrier, for a limited time, the hotspot will be available for $49.99 USD after a $50 USD mail-in rebate in select markets covered by the 4G LTE network and in those scheduled to be covered by the end of 2012.

In addition, the SCH-LC11 Mobile Hotspot is available for $199.99 USD after a $50 mail-in rebate in all other markets. Customers who purchase the device are required to sign up for a data plan and a new two-year agreement.

Although the Samsung Mobile Hotspot runs on the 4G LTE network in markets where it is available, users will be benefit from the blazing fast 3G speeds when not in 4G network coverage areas.

Those who are not familiar with U.S. Cellular’s 4G LTE network should know that the carrier has teamed up with King Street Wireless, to offer 4G LTE service in select cities in Iowa, Maine, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Texas and Wisconsin.

Moreover, the network operator confirmed that, in the second half of the year, its 4G LTE coverage would expand to cover select cities in Illinois, Maryland, Missouri, New Hampshire, Oregon, Tennessee, Vermont, Virginia, Washington and West Virginia.
