Those who are into Facebook, Twitter, MySpace and other popular social networking services will be happy to know that U.S. Cellular carrier has just announced a new Social Scene application, especially dedicated to users of messaging phones.

The application is meant to complement and improve the social networking experience offered by these messaging phones.

With the new app, customers will be able to quickly upload pictures from their phones, Tweet and reTweet in real time, as well as stream customized RSS feeds from more than 50 news, entertainment and sports sites.

Customers with messaging phones now have access to their social networking sites in just one click,” said David Kimbell, vice president of marketing for U.S. Cellular.

Social network lovers who switch to U.S. Cellular can choose from an array of feature-packed devices and join the happiest customers in wireless,” added Kimbell.

According to the carrier, Social Scene app is free for postpaid customers with a data plan and is fully compatible with U.S. Cellular's most popular messaging phones like the Samsung Messager Touch and the LG Saber.

To emphasize the launch of the new application, U.S. Cellular is offering, starting today through June 9, affordable deals on its messaging phone lineup for customers who are into the social networking service.

In this regard, the LG Saber is now available for free with instant rebate, while the Samsung Messager Touch can be purchased for only $39.99 after mail-in-rebate.

Those who wish to take advantage of the advanced functions and features offered by U.S. Cellular's Android-powered smartphones can do so by switching to one of the carrier's Belief Plans.

In addition to the value-packed Belief Plans, U.S. Cellular also offers customers the Phone Replacement Program, which provides subscribers with rewards for paying their monthly bills on time, adding a line or referring new customers.
