In her quest to redefine beauty by showing it’s dependent on every individual, therefore “customizable,” Tyra Banks has come up with the idea for her latest project: a makeover website that meets the needs of every woman visiting it.

The site is called Type F (typef.com) and it’s different from a regular women’s magazine by its unique approach to female beauty.

Instead of proposing one model that should fit all women, it takes every woman into account and comes up with a model for each.

Basically, as Tyra herself explained during a recent appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, women include personal data in their profile and then receive styling and beauty tips starting from that info.

It’s like having a personal stylist and beauty consultant at all times – online.

“With a lot of magazines, it tells you exactly what you’re supposed to look like and if you don’t look like this... you’re a loser, you’re not good enough,” Tyra says of her latest project.

She surely knows a thing or two about beauty and women, since she’s been in the fashion industry long enough – not to mention her many years as a successful talk show host.

“I have to admit I was a model for many years and modeled in the magazines that promoted that image,” Tyra explains.

“What TypeF does is it says, ‘You are beautiful and you are you... Women in our individuality is what is beautiful.’ The site is all about personalization,” she adds.

“If you go on and you log in... and say, ‘I have a short, blonde pixie cut, I have my piercing blue eyes, I have an oval-shaped face, I am 5’ 8”...’ You type all of this stuff in and when you continue to come back to the site, we deliver stuff for you, exactly for your type,” Tyra says.

This is not the first project that Tyra launches with the specific purpose of helping women look their best and redefine the concept of beauty.

In fact, she’s made quite a habit of this, as we also noted on several previous occasions – and she’s getting better and better at it.
