Tyra Banks Launches Beauty Magazine

Tyra Banks, as both her fans and her detractors know, has been called anything from certifiable crazy to the most self-centered person on the planet and, at the same time, a role model and an inspiration for the average woman no matter in which country she lives. Once with the National Real Hair Day, on September 8, Tyra also launched her own online beauty magazine, as The Luxist informs.

The truth of the matter is that this model turned television personality could very well be the first two things critics call her (self-centered and somewhat crazy), but the undeniable fact remains that, when it comes to business, she’s an incredibly smart woman, as several US media outlets point out. She knows how to talk to the real woman and make her relate to her by stripping the glamorous veil the fashion industry has covered her with. She also knows what most women want and, even more important, how to help them when they can’t get it.

This is precisely what Tyra’s magaline (as she calls it, short for magazine online) is all about: celebrating beauty both within and on the outside. However, what will make Banks’ Tyra: Beauty Inside & Out magazine different from the other beauty and glossy mags out there is that it will cater to all women without glamorizing anything, like it usually happens in most women’s mags. It will also use the model’s expertise and valuable experience in the fashion world to offer the best advice and tips for all those ladies out there who need help with one thing or another.

“I’m really interested in helping women take control of their futures, take control of their destiny. One of my lines in my manifesto on the website is to be the CEO of your own life, be in control of your own life.” Banks said of the magazine shortly before the official release. Just like with the National Real Hair Day that she instated for September 8, when she personally showed herself to the world without extensions, celebrating her real hair, now too Tyra is using her own example to show women how certain things can be accomplished.
